Jaquette de Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney

Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney est le premier jeu de la série Ace Attorney. Il est sorti initialement le 11 octobre 2001 au Japon sur la GameBoy Advance sous le nom de Gyakuten Saiban qui peut se traduire approximativement "Turnabout Trial" sois en français "Procès des Volte-face".

Le remake de la Nintendo DS, Gyakuten Saiban: Yomigaeru Gyakuten qui se traduit en anglais par "Turnabout Trial: Turnabout Rebirth" soit en français "'Procès des Voltes-face: Les Voltes-face renait" sort au Japon le 15 septembre 2005 avec une affaire supplémentaire. Ce remake a également était traduit en français le 31 mars 2006 sous le nom de "Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney".

Le jeu a été porté sur la Nintendo Wii, téléchargeable à partir de la chaîne boutique Wii en jeu WiiWare. Il est sorti au Japon le 15 décembre 2009 et en France le 15 janvier 2010. Lors de l'achat du jeu, seul les quatre premières affaires sont disponibles, il faut acheter la cinquième affaire en parallèle du jeu. La cinquième affaire est sortie le 16 mars 2010 au Japon et le 24 mai 2010 au Etats-Unis. Il est également sorti en France le 28 mai 2010. Le jeu coûte 1000 Wii Points. 

La version DS utilise la reconnaissance vocale et l'écran tactile en termes de Gameplay. Par rapport à la version GBA, vous pouvez consulter le dossier de l'affaire à partir de l'écran tactile. Vous pouvez également crier "Objection !", "Prend ça !" ou "Un instant !" grâce au microphone de la console. 

Le jeu est également sorti sur iOS le 21 decembre 2009 au Japon et le 24 mai 2010 en France sur l'App Store pour 4,49 €. Enfin une dernière version du jeu est sortie le 30 mai 2013 au Etats-Unis et en Europe dans la version Trilogy HD sur iOS, cependant aucune traduction française est prévue pour le moment.

Personnages principaux

  • Phoenix Wright est un jeune avocat de la défense qui est le personnage principal du jeu.
  • Mia Fey est le mentor de Phoenix. Elle l'aide lors du premier épisode mais meurt dans le second. Malgré sa mort, elle continue toujours à aider Phoenix par l'intermédiaire de Maya.
  • Maya Fey est la deuxième cliente de Phoenix et est la soeur cadette de Mia. Après les évènements de "La Volte-face des Soeurs" elle devient son apprenti. Elle est en pleine formation pour devenir médium.
  • Benjamin Hunter est le principal antagoniste du jeu. Il est l'ennemi de Wright lors de "La Volte-face des soeurs", "La Volte-face du Samouraï" et "Phoenix renait de ses cendres". Il est sont client lors des évènements de "Adieux et Volte-face"
  • Dick Tectiv est le détective maladroit lors des quatre dernières affaires.
  • Paul Dèfes est un ami d'enfance à Phoenix et il est son premier client.
  • Victor Boulay est le procureur lors du "Premier Volte-face"
  • Le Juge préside toutes les affaires lors de ce jeu.
  • Manfred Von Karma est le procureur et l'antagoniste dans l'affaire "Adieux et Volte-face"
  • Ema Skye aide Phoenix dans la dernière affaire du jeu. Elle voudrait être dans la police scientifique. Elle remplace Maya.
